Situated on the A259 east of Hastings, Rye is a short drive from
the M20, leaving at Ashford on the A2070; or if travelling south
on the A21, take the B2089 to Rye.
From the town centre there are local train services to Ashford with
connections to London (60 minutes) and to Paris/Lille/Brussels via
the Channel Tunnel. The Rye railway station is on a line in-between
Ashford International and Hastings. London Charing Cross, London
Victoria, Canterbury, Dover and the Channel Tunnel all run services
to Ashford International. London Victoria, Gatwick Airport, London
Charing Cross, Brighton, Eastbourne and Bexhill all run services
to Hastings.
Local buses run regularly.
Nearest airports are Gatwick and Lydd, and Rye has easy access from
the ports of Dover (32 miles), Folkestone (25 miles) and Newhaven
(42 miles).
