The Boathouse is part of a small modern block of apartments set in an idyllic location close to the foot of the Rye Citadel, on a private Quay by the waters edge.

The apartment is south facing over Romney Marsh with Rye Harbour and Nature Reserve beyond. From the apartment you can watch the yachts and other river traffic catch the morning tide and then later as the tide goes out you can enjoy the river wildlife.

There is reserved parking for residents and the Boathouse is only 300 yds on the seaward side of Strand Quay, the old town quay, where the tourist office is situated.

The famous Mermaid Street runs down to this quay and it is less than 5 minutes walk from the Boathouse into the centre of Rye.

Its location is idea for exploring on foot or bicycle the Romney Marshes to the east or Rye Harbour Nature Reserve with hides, Winchelsea or Pett Level beaches to the west.

Adjacent short term moorings can be organised (subject to availability).
